Wales's most rural region, covering 40% of Wales's land mass with approximately 200,000 people. The £110m Growth Deal — the first dedicated economic development programme for Mid Wales — is jointly funded by UK and Welsh Governments through Growing Mid Wales. In March 2025, an additional £11.8m funding tranche was released as the first project took shape.
